SPEED OF PLAY
We are now on a winter shortened course, with less rough, tees forward and occasionally holes out of play. Golf has become slower in recent times, with more players using trolleys, GPS devices, delays at the halfway house and generally taking too long.
Please be mindful of how long you are taking. Slight improvements have been made. Saturdays have improved but Wednesdays are still slow.
Play quicker if you can. Be ready before it is your shot. Move quickly to the next tee etc. If you can’t score on a hole then pick up. If you cannot do these things, then let others through immediately.
Start and finish times are being monitored. Hopefully everyone can make improvements to save time and we can get back to how golf used to be.
3hrs 30 mins was the norm for 18 holes. We are now 4 hours +. Saturdays, playing 14 or 15 holes, we should be less than 3hrs 30 mins.
